daisy cow

Have you noticed that I reformated my page? All those dots that seemed fun at first were becoming upsetting to my stomach.
Anyhow, this is "Rosy" (May 10) redone....you can see just a bit of the "rosy" in the foreground.
Cheers, and happy travels today, Michelle!

altered book

I know this is not very exciting, but I thought I would share stage I of my altered book. It occured to me that I should've taken a picture of it before I even started, but I didn't think of it in time, so here it is, very stage I.

I will be posting more as this book develops! (there is the exciting tallking dog page at the end of the book, which caused me to almost cut off my thumb).

I also intended to post my 2nd painting on Ebay last night, but thought I needed the day off. So I will get around to it~ soon!
I guess you don't say Happy Memorial Day....but rather, Thanks and Remembrance Day......thanks, dad.
and, love.

sail away

I was playing around with a squared of dyed silk, so pretty just on it's own, I thought. And I love the little holes in the fabric where it had been sewn, and the loose thread. I put a piece of green paper on it and loved that color contrast...somehow it all became a boat, with little "thought circles"....nice energy......it's time to sail away.
Cheers,
Susan

Beginnings~ on Ebay!

To celebrate 50 daily painting posts, I've put my very first daily, "Beginnings" , on Ebay! Even better, the starting bid is $7.99! You can check it out by going to Ebay and doing a search for "orginal art by Susan B Marlowe"!
I thought I would research Ebay (and I did try) but that doesn't seem to be my style, so I just jumped in. Probably lots of lessons to be learned.
Lots of love,
Susan

the secret world of cows, part deux

more silliness!
this weekend I took a workshop on making "altered books" with Dottie McHugh, which I'm very excited about; however, I came close to cutting off my thumb with an exacto knife. So I wasn't able to complete my usual mother's day annual flower planting. yesterday...but did make use of the rainy cool day to paint. Anyhow! stay tuned and I'll start posting different stages of the book (don't worry, I washed off the blood)
Cheers!
Susan
