happy winds

While you were sleeping, I made this birthday wish for you, my darling daughter, travelling solo in Thailand.
Happy winds go with you!

elves

This is the time of year that elves are out and about.
According to family lore, if you're seen being good you might find something in your stocking early!
(is that a jingle from my stocking I hear?)
cheers,
Susan

Acey Ducey

As you can see, I had some fun altering this Black Jack (Acey Ducey, as my parents call it) game board.
More birding!
Cheers,
Susan

Birdhouse 2

Oops! I've been busy, and have forgotten to post!
OK: here's another birdhouse ("someone" is getting a lot of them for Christmas!)
I've discovered I love gourds. I like to sit them around and look at them until they "tell" me what they are. This one was given to be by my friend Rebecca, who says I am becoming a "gourd head".
Guess it's true!
Cheers,
Susan

birdhouse

This gourd was a mother's day gift ages ago, from Jay, who tied a bamboo cork on the top, making it a water bottle. I've painted and revived it as a birdhouse (with a ceramic egg on the top for fertility!)
cheers
Susan

Finnster

Finnster has been the perfect guest (oh, if you don't count demolishing 4 beds and 3 collars!)...
really!
We'll miss you, buddy, but Gracie will, most of all.
Cheers,
Susan

gift bag

This is a small little gift bag I made (from an old, favorite Christmas sweater) for a special someone far away this year.
Cheers,
Susan

postcards from the edge

this is my entry to the Postcards from the Edge show in NYC for the Visual Aids Benefit.

Artists donate a 4" x 6" postcard sized work; all works will be displayed and sold in January.

Cheers,

gourd time

It's gourd time!
Here is a little ornament!
Decorated with music from the Messiah.
And gold chinese paper.
cheers,
Susan
